Current Rutgers Chapter Officers:

 New Rutgers Chapter Requirements for Membership:
1. Be at least in their junior year with a major or minor in philosophy.
2. Have a philosophy GPA of 3.5 or higher. Members must maintain this minimum GPA in order to remain regular members.
3. Have an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher. Members must maintain this minimum GPA in order to remain regular members.

The purpose of this organization shall be to uphold and carry out the objectives outlined in Article II of the national Phi Sigma Tau Constitution:

 

1.      To serve as a means of awarding distinction to those students who have achieved high scholarship and personal interest in philosophy;

2.      To promote student interest in philosophy in terms of research and advanced study;

3.      To provide opportunities for the publication of student research papers of merit;

4.      To encourage a professional spirit and friendship among those who have displayed marked ability in this field;

5.      To popularize interest in philosophy among the general collegiate public.
